The current owner acquired this Packard 200 at a young age from the original owner who happened to be his next door neighbor in Goldsboro. The Packard accompanied the current owner during his college years at UNC Chapel Hill and continues to be driven on a regular basis.

This 1960 Chevrolet Impala is a very original, low mile example of American style and muscle. It has the 348 Triple Deuce engine and 4-speed transmission. Even the interior is original. There’s enough room in the trunk to have a family picnic. You’ll be hard pressed to find a nicer example of this model car anywhere. This is another prime example of the quality of cars that are enjoyed by all of our club members.

This 1968 California Special Mustang was totally restored from the ground up in a little over a year. Its first show was the 1994 Mustang 30th Anniversary Celebration held at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The car won enough Gold Awards to retire from Mustang Club of America competition in 1999. At present, it has reached AACA Grand National Senior status. The GT/CS was built in the San Jose Assembly Plant as a marketing promotion to boost California sales. It is a 1968 coupe body with Shelby parts and its own unique stripes and script lettering. It is powered by a 289 2V coupled with a C4 automatic transmission. The owners  feel very “special” to own one of the 4,025 production units. As a “horse of a different color” they enjoy sharing its history with others.

This Ford Torino was ordered and purchased new by the current owners and his father in 1969 from Wilson Motor Company in Mt. Olive, NC where they both were employed. They remember the car carrier pulling up on a Saturday afternoon while both were working on a big truck after hours. This car was their family car back then. It is getting a well deserved rest now, after a total restoration.

In memory of Jerry Reaves.  Pictured are Jerry with his wife Karen and Teddy, the dog. This truck was actually owned by Jerry’s Father and was once used for farm duty. Not anymore! The complete restoration included many convenience updates. Karen continues to be an active member of the SENC Chapter. The Dodge is now owned by Jerry’s

How would you like to own this beauty? Sorry, it’s NOT for sale! This beautiful 1966 Mustang GT coupe is the pride and joy of club members Gene and Janet Rochelle. A fine example of originality and low miles, too. Equipped with a 289 engine, automatic transmission, emberglow and parchment pony interior and much more. Janet has already won her First Junior and First Senior AACA awards and has her eyes set on the Grand Nationals next. I’m sure she will attain her goal with this beauty. This is another example of the fine cars our club members own . Congratulations to Gene and Janet.

Aldon and Jo Anne Summerlin’s eye-catching, black-on-black 1965 Chevrolet Impala powered by a 327 engine with an automatic transmission. Aldon spied the Chevy in an Old Car Trader Magazine. It is better know as the “Intimidator.” Jo Anne said it was so fast that it blew the lipstick right off her lips! It has won it’s First Junior and First Senior awards and is ready for the Grand Nationals now. Did someone say Cape Canaveral ’08? Aldon and Jo Anne drive the car to local shows and trailer it to long distance shows. All of the time spent on preparing it was well worth the wait.

This is beautiful 1964 FORD Galaxie 500 XL convertible owned by Ray and Sandra Porter of Goldsboro, NC. The color is Sky Blue with a White top. The engine is a 352 cubic inch and it has an automatic transmission. The XL trim level was “top of the line” in 1964. These 1964 Galaxie cars are some of the most sought after cars in the full size FORD line of the 60’s as witnessed by their growing popularity on Ebay and at car auctions everywhere. Ray and Sandra are likely to show up at any car show in eastern North Carolina as they are not shy about taking the XL out on the road at a moment’s notice.
